Job Title: Senior Sales Administrator - Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
Location: San Marcos, CA
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Administrator to join our team in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sales operations within the CPG industry and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. This person will be responsible for supporting the sales team, managing sales data and reporting, and providing administrative support to the sales department.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate sales data and reporting in CRM and other systems
Work closely with sales team to provide administrative support and ensure sales processes are executed efficiently
Manage sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding of new clients and products
Conduct analysis of sales trends, market data, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies
Assist with the creation of sales proposals and presentations
Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management on sales performance and initiatives
Continuously seek out opportunities to improve sales operations processes and systems
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
5+ years of experience in sales administration or sales operations, preferably in the CPG industry
Strong proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of sales processes and strategies within the CPG industry
Understanding of market and competitive analysis within the CPG industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with ERP software (our system is Sage 100, but soon to change)
This role has some tangency to our product development processes and as such, fluency in Mandarin is a highly desirable skill.
Experience with key retail accounts such as Walmart, Target, Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, TJX Companies, regional accounts like Buc-ees and Paradies and grocery accounts like Albertsons/Vons and WinCo.
