ABC Veterinary Hospital Uptown seeks experienced Vet Assistants or RVT's to join our 2 doctor practice in Hillcrest. We are a fun and energetic GP that accommodates urgent care and emergency cases, as well as orthopedic and specialty procedures. Our day is filled with routine appointments and procedures as well as the more complex ones, so someone with a self-driven and self-starter work ethic has the opportunity to shine and grown within our practice!
**We have an additional opening at the hospital in Claremont so please let us know if that is a more preferred location when applying. Both clinics have a very similar structure and offer the same services.**
Applicants should have a minimum of one-year experience as well as the following:
Compassionate, driven, mature, and team oriented.
Needs minimal direction and has the ability to multi-task, as well as an above average understanding of efficiency and time management.
Skilled venipuncture ability, IVC placement, anesthesia/vital monitoring, surgical recovery, radiology technique, laboratory- dentistry a plus.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to communicate effectively and clearly.
Self-starter mentality and takes initiative to complete tasks on their own. Someone that is willing to grow and adapt through challenges and changes while maintaining a positive and optimistic attitude.
Ability to administer medications IV, IM, SQ, Oral, etc.
Maintain appropriate medical records for any and all hospitalized and critical patients
Willingness to jump in when needed and assist co-workers and veterinarian in any/all medical care - both appointments and procedures.
Avimark knowledge preferred but not necessary
Excellent customer service and communication skills towards clients, other staff members, DVM's and management.
