Job Description
Our growing Communications and Community Engagement Department is looking for an experienced part-time (22.5 hours/week) Communications Coordinator (CC). The CC will be a positive, collaborative, organized and detail-oriented individual who wants to help grow an expanding Communications Department within a fast-growing organization. This person will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment where inclusiveness is valued, and individual accountability is essential to success. The CC reports to the Director of Communications and Community Engagement. The CC carries out a variety of administrative functions benefiting the Communications and Community Engagement Department.



The position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines. The CC must have excellent communications skills and must have the discretion and poise necessary to deal with sensitive and confidential situations.

The right candidate uses judgment and discretion to solve problems where answers are not always apparent; exercising independent judgement and resolves non-routine situations, based on knowledge of established policies and procedures.



Key Responsibilities:
Providing overall administrative support to the Communications team and specifically to the Director of Communications and Community Engagement. This includes, but not limited to:


Communications Support

Help source, upload, and organize photos, videos, artwork
Handle requests from staff looking for photos, assets, information
Drafting and preparing announcements, communication plans, and other communications material
Filtering information and requests from multiple sources including managing two email accounts
Elevating sensitive inquiries and/or deadline-driven requests

Team Meetings

Ownership of twice weekly team meeting
Preparing Agendas, Note Taking, Scheduling
Ownership of scheduling meetings with Comms Team and other Departments
Contribute to the brainstorming and strategy of social media calendar, newsletter themes, campaigns, events etc.

Social Media

Oversees daily account engagement across all Felton social channels
Monitors Felton related conversations and engagement on social media

General Administrative Support

Manage subscriptions, distribution lists and update passwords
Liaise with contractors, creative partners, stakeholders
Responsible for ad-hoc projects

Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree in related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience with Adobe
Familiarity with fast-paced office environment dealing with public and media
Computer fluency with either Windows or Mac and fluency with Word and Excel.
Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality
Demonstrated communication and customer service experience
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Capable of minimal supervision, proactive, resourceful, excellent follow-through
Ability to respond to unanticipated circumstances with a calm and professional demeanor
Highly dependable and punctual
